Acne or pimple is the most common issue amongst the young generation. Painful, reddish in color bacteria affected blisters can happen in your at any age due to hormonal imbalance, unhealthy food habits, etc. The excess oil when secreted from the Sebastian glands. The pores get clogged due to excess oil, resulting in acne or pimple.
1) White Acne, also known as Whitens, are the white fleshy pulp type acne popping out on your face. Due to excess oil around that affected area, the pore has clogged and results in Whitens. The whitens if erupted then develops into a reddish pimple. It can be painful at times.
2) Black Ends are mainly darkish brown and happen due to dead cells accumulation. They are small and usually found around the nose area.
There are six easy preventive measures and tips to treat acne/pimple correctly at home
1) Wash Your Face
To the remove excess oil and dirt, regularly keep washing your face and skin with correct gentle soaps and body washes.
- Make sure to use good antibacterial soaps instead of fancy scented soaps. Don’t wash your face more than twice a day as it can result in the dry face.
- Use a kind and gentle cleanser (preferably alcohol-free) and toner.
- Use lukewarm water to clean your face.
- You can also use ice packs on your affected red acne area to reduce the redness quickly.
2) Skin Type
Any skin type can suffer due to acne and pimple. Most commonly pimples are found in oily skin. The pimple prone oily skin suffers the most due to excess oil falling out of their faces. Combined skin with a mixture of Dry areas and oily areas on their face is also acne prone. The forehead, chin, and the nose are the oily areas in a combined skin. These areas together are called Tzone. The rest of the skin remains dry. To know your skin type is significant before dealing with pimples/acne. You can buy your skin products according to your skin type. Try to use proper sunscreen, preferably SPF 40, to protect your face against harmful UVA/UVB rays.
For example, if you have oily skin, then try avoiding comedogenic products which can block the skin pores. You can use light makeup or no makeup during acne treatment.
Due to dehydration, the oil glands produce more oil and results in damaged skin. To avoid such a situation, keep yourself well hydrated. Hydration can also remove the toxic ingredients from your body, and that helps you to get clear skin. Drink at least 8 to 10 ounce of water a day.
4) Tea Tree oil
Tea tree oil works great on the inflammation or non-inflammation pimples by reducing the redness. You can put two to three drops of tea tree oil in your toner/cleanser and apply it on your affected area. Tea Tree oil is a good antimicrobial agent, and it works as a skin moisturizer. At the same time, tea tree oil balances the excess oil of the skin.
Important note: You may be allergic to Tea tree oil. To check that, kindly put two drops on your elbows or behind your ears. If any skin irritation occurs, then add little water with tea tree oil and dilute it before application.
5) Green Tea Pack
The most calming and soothing effect of Green tea can help to reduce the redness of acne effectively. The rich ant oxides present in green tea protects your skin from damage and fights against the existing pimples. Few types of research say that consumption of green tea every day can reduce the chances of getting acne or pimple.
However, you can apply the green tea bags on your affected acne areas and keep it for 15-20mins. Then you can wash your face with lukewarm water. The EGCG elements present inside green tea fights very well against the acne and pimple, resulting in clearer skin. Green tea bags are also useful for a dark line or under eye treatments.
6) Honey Pack
Honey being an antioxidant has all the properties to fight against acne and pimple. You can apply raw honey on your face. It will dry up, and irritation will happen on the affected area, but that is only for some time, and it’s normal. If you feel burning and irritable sensation, then you are advised to remove the pack. If you want you can use a pinch of cinnamon powder or even you can add apple cedar vinegar with your honey and create a mask. Apply that mask on your face and wait for 20mins. Then remove the application with water.
Few things should be taken care of while dealing with pimples or acne. Avoid junk and fried food, meditate, and release your stress and try to sleep for at least 6-7hours a day.
